Our mission
Preserve our culture by serving the communities around us.
We put this mission into practice by giving our time, sharing our skills and working together. Our Kutchi Oswal Jain heritage connects us; service gives us a way to care for the communities around us.
Serve through community cooking
KV volunteers have prepared food for Pathshala at the Jain Center of Northern California. Cooking days bring members into a common effort, from preparing ingredients to making meals together.
Members cooked for Pathshala in 2010, and KV completed its fifth Shala cookout in March 2015. This shared kitchen work is part of our continuing tradition of volunteering.
Give time and practical help
Service begins well before a meal is ready. Planning menus, estimating supplies, shopping for groceries and guiding a cooking team all take care and commitment. We value the people who take on this work behind the scenes.
Carry our values forward
Working alongside one another gives families a way to share their values through action. We welcome people who want to lend a hand, learn from others and help the next generation take part in community service.
Help carry the work forward
Volunteer your time, help with community cooking or share a useful skill. Contact KutchValley to discuss current opportunities.
